Is the badge really free?
Yes — the badge, the embed code, and the listing link all cost nothing. We run this program because accurate, trusted listings are what make VeterUSA worth visiting. A badge people could buy wouldn’t mean anything to pet owners, so we don’t sell it.
How did you pick the 2,853 clinics?
Purely on public review data: at least 4.5 stars across at least 50 reviews, from clinics that are currently operating. Permanently closed clinics are excluded, and listings flagged for removal don’t qualify. The list is regenerated from fresh data each year.
Can we pay for a badge or a better rating?
No. Money never touches the badge, ratings, or rankings on VeterUSA. Clinics can pay for clearly-labeled job postings and featured placement — never for trust signals. That separation is deliberate and permanent.
What if our rating drops below 4.5 later?
The 2026 badge stays valid through 2026 — it records what your clinic had earned when the list was calculated in August 2026. Annual recalculation decides the 2027 list. If your reviews slip, work on the clinic, not the badge; the math will follow.
What’s the difference between Top Rated and VeterUSA Verified?
Top Rated comes from the public — stars and review counts. Verified comes from you — you confirm your hours, services, and contact details directly with us and we stamp the verification date on your listing. One measures reputation, the other measures accuracy. The strongest listings have both.
Do we have to link back to VeterUSA?
The embed code links to your listing so visitors can check the reviews behind the badge — that transparency is what makes the badge credible. If you’d rather display the badge without the link, email us; we’ll sort something out. We’d rather you show it than not.
